Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Hey y'all - finally heard back some good news on my nephew. While he's still spiking fevers, it seems he's out of the deep woods with the pneumonia and they're looking at possibly releasing him either today or tomorrow.
Another survivor! I'm relieved and waiting to see if he's FVL like his auntie Laura - or if this was idiopathic. I hope they come to DS for support - you folks are the best!

SO glad to hear he's doing better LauraLu! What a stressful time for everyone! Keep us posted on his progress, but I hope he just kind of bounces back from this. Youth can be a glorious thing with this kind of stuff.
