Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
On 5-17-17 I was rushed into the hospital complaining of shortness of breath and heart racing. I told everyone I came in contact with I can't breathe. The doctors finally did Ct scan and saw I had several massive blood clots in my lungs. They proceeded to come up with game plan but before they gave me this strong medicine I coded... not a little code like cpr for few minutes but 45 minutes before they were able to get me stable. I was on breathing tube and my family was told to call family in as they didn't think I'd make it through the night. My parents and family did only what they felt they could do at time is pray and tell everyone through social media to pray... it is without a doubt in my mind right now looking at 3 months later that I am here because thousands of people were praying... I never knew the power of pray until I was in it first hand. Within 4 hours I was showing signs of being alive and wanted to take tube out.. I was hungry lol. That shows the normal woman was still there if you know me. I had lots complications from kidney failure to doing dialysis to finding more clots to having to have hand surgery to release blood in arm that was stuck from found clots. To severe pain in chest from cpr to save my life. For the month I was in hospital I was in survival mode. Do what I need to do to get home. Once I was released to go home which I had to move in with my parents for month and half it was still survival mode. Get strength back, do hand exercises, go to doctor appt, and therapy for hand. Then 3 weeks ago I start half days of work and last week first full days of work and it is like everything hit me at once. Emotions of how did I survive this no research on people surviving all that happen because no one survives it. The fear of will this happen again. Should I not do this or do that? Should I not move like originally planned. Work issues and relationship failures I just emotional crying baby. Anyone else struggle with this new stage... is the depression I am hearing/reading about? Many people including doctors say I'm miracle how do u wrap your head around being a miracle to go on.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
I have been diagnosed with OR, and now on blood thinners. Just within 3 weeks my life changed getting that diagnosis and meds and FEAR. So, I can relate to that part.
Yesterday, I had an appointment with my family doctor and just broke down crying. I too have been very emotional. I think it's just a scary thing to get through and it's the unknown.
She gave me a list of therapists and I'm going to try to find someone to help with this.
Praying you can find peace and get some help also.
