Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Today i woke and just couldnt be bothered with going in to work - so i decided that was a good sign - i must be back to normal right? - so i dragged myself out of bed and did the usual run about - making beds, packed lunches, quick tidy up, make up on and dropped my wee girl off at school before going in to work - i climbed the 3 flights of stairs today on the way in (much easier - although i was still done in) and then when i finished work i walked down the stairs again - its lovely and sunny here today so had a wee cup of tea out in the garden when i got home and then walked to school for my wee girl - the sunshine makes me feel more energetic im sure of it! Feeling good today - so far i havent experienced the lack of energy i normally notice between 12noon and 1pm. Its been over a month now since my last dose of warfarin, ive not used my heat pad for a few weeks. things are going well. Next hospital appointment is 23rd may to see a hematologist to find out if i have any clotting disorders. That might throw me a bit if i have - dont want to have to start taking warfarin again so im keeping my fingers crossed.
