Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I had a small PE (about 4 or 5 small clots) in late 2016. I was on Xarelto and Eliquis until about June or July of this year (2017). I switched, and got off of them due to their horrible side-effects. I have since been taking baby aspirin and getting a monthly D-dimer test. At first, the D-dimer tests were great, however the last two months they have been pretty high, more than double the acceptable range. I have been told a D-dimer is good if it is negative, but a positive result doesn't necessarily mean much (or it could mean a lot). I'm otherwise symptom free, but not sure if I should go back on the blood thinners.... Risk it and live my life, or go back to those awful side effects. Anybody else have a similar situation? Or any comments? Thanks

Now that I am not talking to my whatever best friend, I realized that her life is full of drama. I had grown tired of hearing her stories about her boyfriend many months ago. She basically had been monopolizing conversations for that long too. She pretty much stopped asking me questions about me. I passed her in front of her classroom the other day and didn't even look at her. I am...

Just had an interesting conversation with ChatGPT! It was kind of like talking kindly to myself. You should get the App. It's free.
I believe the standard therapy for a first PE is 3-6 months on blood thinners then nothing (no D-dimer tests either) unless something else is going on. I believe the D-dimer does not have a lot of value as a standalone test in the absence of symptoms, my understanding is that they just use it to see if they need to check out your symptoms further with the more expensive and invasive tests or if they can rule out a clot.
So. If it were me and I had no symptoms and no medical reasons to be on the bloodthinners indefinitely I would just do what you're doing but drop the monthly D-dimer (but get one if new clot symptoms pop up).
I believe body aches can be related to depression.
Teristalking2u, maybe look into some kind of physical therapy. If you have pain in your bad knee, you have probably been compensating for that with your other leg which can affect your posture, your gait, etc. That could all cause pain elsewear.
