Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

For the past year, I have avoided most sites on clots, with the exception of this one. In the beginning, I looked up basic info, mostly causes and recovery, but that was it.
Well, brilliant me, now that I am off warfarin, decided to look up some stuff on reocurrance. What was I thinking??? One site said the risk of re-clotting is typically low. Another says if you have clotted with no found cause, it is much higher. It also stated it can depend on where the clot was and the severity of it. I had massive saddle PE's, so what does that mean? And what is the time frame for greater chances of re-clotting? Within the first year? For life? These are just questions I am now asking myself.
So yeah, no more googling for me! lol

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
