Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Hmmm, the INR Card...i like it i like it!!! i'll hafta remember to use that at Thanksgiving this year.

I've played the card to get out of a couple of trips I wasn't wild about taking also.
My latest "throwing down the "INR card" trick was backing out of a stag/bucks weekend. I wasn't keen on being around a load of boozed up bloke's making a fool out of themselves so I needed an excuse...
Luckily, the best man had booked paintballing for us all... Result!
"Sorry guys, sadly wont be able to make this one"
*pops party popper*

i kinda miss having inr bloodwork........ one pill twice a day with no side effects is kinda nice too
Plus warfarin has made me very aware of safety, not crazy worried or anything like that, but I tell you, I'm much more inclined to wear a helmet, and real shoes (yes, I've ridden my bike in city traffic with no helmet and wearing flip flops). I'm also now more aware of both pedestrian and car traffic while riding my bike and when walking at night.
With that said, every once in a while I do live on the wild side and decide not to wear a helmet while riding my bike. I don't condone this at all by the way, warfarin or not. But sometimes, my 46 year old self needs to still rebel and say F*** YOU to something, and that something happens to be warfarin. Probably better than saying that to my husband or my boss, although on some days...
NO pains in my legs
The identifying white and pink colors with clear numbers 10 and 1 on my Taro pills :)
