Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Good news from my doctor yesterday, a second scan of my lungs showed no clots in them!
I know there's a significant reoccurance rate for PE once you've had one but this news is still exciting to me. It's comforting to know that it's possible for my lungs to recover if this happens to me again. So some time between 0-3 months and my body was able to absorb those things. Awesome.
Next milestones:
Find cause of PEs (fingers crossed)
Get off anticoagulants (pleeeeease)
Live forever (will update once this is done :P)
