Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Today was a great dayfor me. I have not seen my family since december around christmas maybe.
My sister birthday is tomorrow and my family gave a little get together today for her. Everyone has been so thoughtful and concerning and respectful of my wishes to just give me time to heal and im not one to need or want a lot of hovering over me and i dont need all the visits and calls.
I didnt even call my family when i was adimmitd into the hospital on Jan 8th 2015 with an PE. Not until i had been in there for a few days. Which of course they were upset because i didnt call as soon as i had went to the er. But im not that person to bpther people i felt like im not going to bring them into my misery.
Anyhow i had not been ok since my diagnosis. Its been hard so i just stay in the house and not have visits i get lots of calls but i always ask for everyone to give me time for visits i dont know guess beeing depressed i just was not up to it.
Got lots of calls from my family wanting me to attend my sis birthday fun but of course i was not feeling well {in my head} enough to go. So i told them i would not be able to attend/ But my husband talked me into it saying i needed to get out the house and get back to myself.
Got out of bed and got myself together and took the drive which had me full ofanxiety because my sister lives across town from me and my husband got called into work at the last minute. So i had to take the drive by myself with my seven year old son. I was freaked out but it went away the closer i got to my sister house.
I didnt call and tell anyone that i had decided to come incase i decided to yurn around and go back home. They were all suprised and veyr happy to see me and my son. The love and hugs and tears and smiles were well worth the trip and anxiety attack.
And the best part is i had so much fun I didnt realize how much i had missed my familyuntill i seen them today. We laughed and we cried happy tears took lots of pictures i even got in the kitchen and cooked with mysister which is something we love to do. I had sooo much fun when it was time to leave i didnt want to go. I had chest pain and pain from my pants being over my bruises and lumps on my stomach from my shots but i didnt let them know because that would make them want to somewhat baby me and i didnt want to bring that attenton on me it was my sister day. I pusshed through and i am paying for it now but it was well worth it.
I think this should have been my journal entry but i wanted to see how eveyone else felt on their first time out. I loved it but now im in pain but ill take some tylenol and go to sleep.
Sorry for the long post just excited to have made that step today.
Love and rockets all and speedy recovery.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
I remember the first time I went out just for fun after the PEs. Up until that point, I'd pretty much stuck to trips to the grocery story and pharmacy and doctor. But there was an evening where I went out by myself, watched the sunset, browsed in a bookstore, ate decadent food in a coffee shop, and just revisited my "old" self. And it was blissful.
Im in some pain today and very tired but im gonna get some rest and i know i will be fine.
I am the same only going to the grocery store doctor and maybe the pharmacy. Hopefully i can get out more like that.
It gave me motivation to keep doing more. Im excited for more to come.
Here's to more good days than bad!
I wish i could have lived in that moment more.
I hope your doing/feeling better. I was tired of being in the er hospital and its been about a week now no er visit and im happy..
Love and rockets friend keep pushing through love.
Now im nervous because i think i have sleep apnea and i might need the cpap machine. I really dont need anything else to go on.
Been gaining weight with the meds and not moving around so today my husband took me out and we had lunch and walked aroung for a long while. I got really tired but i seen that i can do it.
But im ok so thats all i keep telling myself. Hope you doing ok...
Thats how i felt today my husband took me out for lunch and a lil walking and ahopping and i was very tired and chest was hurting heart was pounding. But i pushed through and im now home and resting and ready to start somethings i been putting on hold since i was diagnosed.
I was supposed to start school in january and start working part time but this happened a week before my start date now. Im ready to face it was scared to but im ready now.
Hope your doing fine also.. Thank you for your words and your responce... Love and rockets.
Yea, I'm gaining weight too:( Don't feel bad. My doc said xarelto doesn't cause weight gain. lol. I dunno. But I'm getting fatter!!!
I am glad your hubby took you out. It is good that you went for a nice long walk. Not so easy, I know. But good for you.. and do keep telling yourself that you are ok!!! You are ok! You are ok! Make that your mantra!
Hang in there ok?
xoxoxo
I'm ok too... hanging in I suppose! ;)
I slept ok i guess i went to sleep way earlier then i normally would if i were at home but kept waking up through out the night.
Im on lovanox injections and i really do feel like its putting on the lbs i was losing weight before all this i had lost about 10lbs but after a few weeks i had gained it back and now im trying to get it back off plus some but its hard.
Yes it was nice to be out but it took a lot out of me and yes im trying to keep reminding myself im ok im ok im ok. It works until i stop telling myself that : )
Good to hear your doing ok.. :)
Special, I dont know what that means at all.. I wish I did. But one more sleep study? yuck. ok. Well, it's important to do if they feel it's necessary. But also, you won't even know that for sure until the doc see's it really.
I barely slept during the study... for ppl who can't sleep, it is a ridiculous test in my opinion!!! I can barely sleep in my own bed let alone in a hospital hooked up to a million wires!! lolol. Bananas!!!
Yea, I don't know about the weight gain either , but I have put on about 10lbs too I would say:(
Keep on hangin in :)

Shitless is the exact word i would use also lol. Just waiting is a part i truly dont care to do. For any results for that matter.
But i just keeppushing through i just keep doing it. I cant say that enough also if i say it enough i will keep doing it.. I think im going to call back and see if they have the results yet lol..
