Lovenox injections

I've been giving myself 150 ml of lovenox via injection every day now since May.  I've gotten much better at it over the months, but every so often, I can't get the needle in at all. It fights me and hurts like the dickens.  I end up throwing the syringe away and starting again with a new one because I feel like I can't "reuse" the syringe I tried to get in.    Does anyone else have this problem on occasion? the darn needle will not go IN.  I feel almost as if I found the exact spot of a previous injection and I'm hitting scar tissue from that.  It's unnerving

so you don't start over with a new needle? I guess I'm just paranoid. (well, I KNEW that!, LOL)

No, I just use the same needled because I've not released the medicine at that point. I just move the needle over a little bit. I reapply an alcohol wipe to my skin if needed. Whether you're supposed to do that I don't know but I just don't see the big deal myself.

Like rmb, I just move it over and try again. I also assume it's scar tissue. I don't bother getting a new needle even though I'm sure healthcare workers would gawk at that. I've never had an issue with infection.

When I'm on Clexane if I can't get the needle in after the 3rd try I get a new one cause the needle does actually get blunt. If you can get a body oil called Bio Oil and rub it in after ur showers it will help alot with ur skin I have found. I am in Australia and not sure if you get that product over there but definitely Google it. I swear by that product

    We all have 24 hours in a day.  How we spend these hours is important.  Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do.  Gonna have to work on that.Your turn.  Tell me another truth.
