Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
I have had one unrelated to the PE. It went fine, was an all day thing at a hospital and they monitor you pretty closely in case you have a reaction. I was in this room by myself with a TV, chair and bed. Brought a book and my head phones to listen to music.
Took a few weeks to feel the full affect of the infusion. It really helped me.
I feel like there may be different kinds of iron infusions so the process I had may be different from yours.
