Any chance you've just been more active lately with the warmer weather and etc.? That can have an effect with some people.

You're right not to worry too much about it. With that much of a dose increase, your numbers ought to be moving up quickly.

I have been back to working out each day for about 6 weeks now, so don't think that would account for it much. I did have a salad the other day, but did before also. Regular clinic guy was not there today so discuss in detail,,, was a fill-in... but again, I feel fine, pulse is low (my indication of PE last time), so will just figure that a fluke and retest on the 16th. Maybe I need more wine?

For me my INR dropped a couple of weeks ago and the only thing that changed was my sleeping habits. I slept a lot less that week (3 to 4 hours a night) and as a result I believe my INR paid for it. Went from 2.1 to 1.6. Have you been sleeping well or stressed out lately? While lack of sleep hasn't been proven to have an affect on INR, in my case I do believe it was the culprit. I know when you don't sleep properly it can have an affect on the body so who knows!

I do know however after my hema adjusted my Warfarin dose I was back up to 2.5 the following week so you should be fine.

I didn't sleep well for a few nights this week... one night probably only got about 2 hours.. so maybe that is it... slept good last night tho,, oh well... I'll do my normal thing and see if it goes back up. The tech did say last month when it was low (1.9) that he might re-adjust to an extra 2.5 once a week to keep me on tract, but it went back to 2.4 with just one additional 2.5mg... I could drive myself nuts trying to figure out why, so will just relax and follow instructions... thanks

i used to get to the therapeutic level and then next test would be low again (1.5 - 1.9) so my warfarin was increased then the pattern would repeat itself - it seemed that everything had an effect - excercise, diet, sleep etc - i was last tested on 14th march and was told it didnt need to be tested for another month - thats the first time that had ever happened as normally it was every week or two weeks - i was due to come off warfarin on 5th april so that turned out to be my last test but during those six months my dose was changed regularly - i first levelled out with 5mg but end up on 10mg daily at the end of the 6 month period. I used to worry when my levels were low and then eventually i just kind of got used to the cycle. I too had a few trips back to the hospital (anxiety related probably) in the first couple of months - tight chest again etc. Nothing was ever found. Good Luck.

My Dr and I are struggling to stabilise my INR, it's less than 4 weeks since my PE and I've been all over the place between 3.9 and 1.4 so I am assuming that sleep, hormones and exercise all play a part because my diet is fairly consistent compared to my INR. My Drs tactic at the moment is to keep the warfarin dose consistent for at least 4 to 5 days and observe what happens before changing the dose again.
