Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
When you gonna kick that anxiety's ass?
The problem is I still feel lousy. So the question than becomes are my physical symptoms causing the increased anxiety? Or, is the anxiety causing my physical symptoms? Or a combo of both perhaps? I have pretty much given up driving because my dizziness is so bad sometimes. It's like being motion sick all the time.
So I finally realized coming back here is exactly what I needed! Besides, I miss everyone. :o)
Have they found a cause for the dizziness? I just started vestibular therapy to help my dizziness and so far it is working wonders ... of course all of my dizziness CAUSES have been resolved and so now they are just trying to train my brain out of feeling dizzy all the time. If you're dizzy long enough, the brain can just default to assuming that you're always dizzy ... even if there is no reason to be.
What have they done to figure out why you're feeling so bad?
Sorry you're so dizzy. Who knows what that's from. That could be the anxiety, but maybe you have some other stuff going on too. TossNTurn is going through a little of that right now too.
Sorry for calling you out Toss, but since you've raised it here, I don't think you'll mind.
Hugs to all

So, as for the dizziness question. As of now, nothing has even been looked into as a cause, as they all keep thinking it is anxiety. So, I have to just suck it up, go on these meds and either prove them right or wrong. Added to that are the chest pains still and at times, sob. Now, that said, I have to admit (with my head hung low in shame) that I did go back to smoking. I know I know, awful. And really I have no excuse. All I can say in the way of some explanation is that the stress was becoming too much, so I fell back to what I always had. And until I quit, my doctor really has no sympathy.
I don't think they are quite understanding what I mean when I say I am dizzy all the time though. I am not just getting a head rush when I stand up or move too fast. It's not something that lasts a few minutes and then goes away. Perhaps I need to work on my communication skills with them!
No reason you can't check into that while waiting to see if the anti-anxiety meds work.
I'm on a new drug trial at the moment. hopefully it will replace or be up there with warfarin. Beats 2 injections every day that's for sure.
1 little tablet once a day with food.. no INR. No diet requirements.
I have been on it for a month now and am tolerating it beautifully.
I hope the day will come soon when you can all have accessibility to this new drug.
Take care all. I pop in from time to time to see what everyone is doing. xoxo
