Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Heartburn

Does anyone know a medication for heartburn that is compatible with coumadin? Also, is this a common side effect of pe recovery? I have never before in my life had heartburn before this. I am currently taking coumadin 9mg, zoloft, and claritin for allergies.

I know warfarin can cause some GI upset so it could be from that. Keep stress I check because that may increase acid production.

I would ask your pharmacist about any interactions with over the counter meds. They 're a really good resource.

Definitely talk to your local pharmacist ... they might know off the top of their heads, but they also have access to great databases that can help find something OTC.

Also, consider taking your meds with food and see if it helps at all.

I am taking Prilosec OTC for indigestion, I believe it also applies to heartburn? But I take it with Xarelto, not Coumadin.

I did take my medication today without food. Ill bet that was the issue. The last time I had the heartburn was when Ii took the zoloft at bed time.

I am on warfarin for life and take zoloft also, along with others treatments for the COPD. For heartburn I take Nexium but I don't take it every day and it is expensive I know.

I agree with asking your pharmacist for advice too.

I have been on Nexium for years. A couple weeks after my 2nd PE I was in the hospital for heartburn. We finally concluded it was gastritis. Might want to watch the foods that can upset your heartburn. Things you wouldn't consider:
1) onions
2) tomatoes

    We all have 24 hours in a day.  How we spend these hours is important.  Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do.  Gonna have to work on that.Your turn.  Tell me another truth.
