Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
As for the dizziness, I had really bad dizziness after my PEs too. Was finally diagnosed with orthostatic hypotension, but it was an easy fix. I upped my liquid intake and my electrolyte intake and I felt like a new girl in a few days.
I'm not saying that you've got orthostatic hypotension, just that there are some pretty benign causes behind SOB and dizziness. And you might be able to fix some of them by easing back into exercise and by keeping yourself well hydrated. Maybe check in with your doc if the dizziness continues (there are many reasons you can get dizzy and most of them don't have to do with your heart failing or pulmonary hypertension) and get an objective assessment of the dizziness.
From your other posts, it sounds like your ecgs, ekgs are fine. Try and forget about PH. You're probably just getting over the PEs. As Toss suggests, make sure you're hydrated.
