Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Prior to my PE and DVT I was running, lifting, and eating well. I had a co-issue with my PE/DVT (CMV - acute viral liver issue) which caused my appetite to tank, then my SoB caused it tank further and then anxiety even more so. Basically my diet looks nothing like it did just three months ago.
When they start you on coumadin the food mantra they keep throwing out is "eat as you did before" and in moderation. Try to keep your K foods at a reliable level. Well, my diet just before my diagnosis and while sick has been awful - part comfort, part lack of appetite, etc. I want to get back to eating well and part of that for me involved supplements - probiotics, vit D, calcium magnesium and b12.
Any info on any of these products as they relate to blood thinners?
(and just because my body wants to make things "fun" I was breath tested positive for h pylori!)

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
There is a reasonable list of supplements & warfarin interactions at:
http://www.nhssb.n-i.nhs.uk/prescribing/documents/Drugs%20to%20Watch%20with%20Warfarin%20Nov06.pdf
but I'm not sure of a definitive list.
If you're taking antibiotics for the h. Pylori, they may impact your INR so be aware of that.
You might check with a pharmacist to see about possible interactions, but I'll tell you that everyone's body is different, so start with their information and then figure out what is true for you. I remember we had a thread on here eons ago about supplements where one person would be like "well, that had no effect on my INR" and someone else would say it totally knocked theirs for a loop.
Generally, the best plan of action is to add something to your diet and then keep an eye on your INR for a couple of weeks. Maybe check once a week instead of less frequently (if you were up to tests every 2-4 weeks) just to make sure it doesn't have an effect. I wouldn't add everything all at once because then if your INR goes wonky, you have no way to know what did it.
Also, yeah, if you're taking antibiotics, those almost always mess with your INR, so I'd be careful about adding anything else during that time.
I feel the same frustration as you about how to eat and wondering which over the counter stuff is okay/not okay. I asked about my glucosamine/chondroitin/msm this week, as I hadn't had any since being admitted to hospital and my knees and legs are really starting to gripe because of it. I've got the okay for that supplement. Now for the hideous aches to stop!!!
Good luck and it sounds like some of the answers supplied may be able to help you, hopefully.

Having failed last time to publish an URL, if the above is a garbled mess of angled braces, google:
