By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
I'm well known for being clumsy but I excelled myself 2 days ago. I knocked a cup of boiling water over my chest and tummy. The nurse at my surgery dressed it but later my gp phoned and said to go to A&E to see a plastic surgeon. They took my dressings off and huge blisters were all over my breasts and a long one on my tummy. It took ages to clean up and redress and then I had to go again yesterday to a dressing clinic.
Anyway on monday I am going to the burns unit, can't believe I was so stupid and clumsy! My question is, does anyone know if warfarin makes a difference to the rate that we heal?

My inr hasn't been too bad, it's stayed between 2.2 and 3 which surprised me with being on different meds including antibiotics and liquid morphine. At least 1 thing is doing what it's meant to!! Through it all my dogs have been so amazing, the cat on the other hand still has the serious hump and keeps trying to bite me, well that's my monthly moan over, I hope you're all well :-)
The skin on your belly is so sensitive, I think. Are they still talking skin grafts, or is that on the back burner now? Ok, "back burner" is probably a poor choice of phrase!

I'm also overdue for my b12 injection, I definitely feel a difference when I don't have it, lack of energy, brain fog and tingling in my feet. No way am I going to the dr when I can't wear a bra though, our family is cursed with big boobs and going braless isn't an option lol.
Even some sports bras were hard for my mom to wear. She had to find ones that were very light weight and light compression, which won't offer you a whole lot of support, but at least you'll feel like the girls are somewhat contained.
