Colonoscopy & Lovenox - Did Well

I had my colonoscopy on Monday and every thing is well. So I started my Warfarin Monday evening and Lovenox Tuesday morning with Warfarin in the evening. I had twilight anesthesia and slept like a baby right through it - lol. Did have a bad headache later and a sore throat (that's a little red and hard to swallow) today. Hope the sore throat is not any thing serious.

You may be back to normal INR after 2 or 3 days. After the "preparation" everything else is easy.

Neat how that anesthetic wears off quickly, yes?

Sore throat...may be a cold setting in or maybe just dry from the anesthesia. Or that damn cold hospital.

They say being on Coumadin makes colds worse. I don't know. Over a 5 day period I went from a sore throat to bronchitis to a head cold. Was a weak as a kitten by the time the head cold hit. But I recovered quickly.

So I wouldn't worry.

Well nothing came of the sore throat and hopefully it does not return. As of Thursday my INR was only 1.3 after the third day so my doctor wants to retest after another 5 days. Looks like I will continue with Lovenox in the morning and Warfarin in the evening. At first he told the lab tech retest in 2 weeks and then she reminded him of the Lovenox. My stomach looks like a pin cushion with all these small marks and or bruises - lol.

It's not uncommon at all for it to take a bit to get your INR back to where it needs to be. I had surgery a couple of months ago and we had to play within my dosage for a few weeks, and test more frequently.

    We all have 24 hours in a day.  How we spend these hours is important.  Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do.  Gonna have to work on that.Your turn.  Tell me another truth.
