Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I recently have been unable to check the website lately, I really miss reading everyones postings. I went back to work at the beginning of May very reluctantly. It has been reaaly tough to keep my stamina up, Everyday has been a struggle but is also bringing me closer to a full recovery. I still get pain in my ribcage everyday but some days are worse than other. There has been alot of fatige by about 8 oclock at night. I have been getting my INR checked every 3 weeks and it has been pretty stable. Protein has been 2.8 and INR has been about 1.9. My skin has been really sensitive and I have cut myself several times with no worries just have to be calm and keep pressure on the cut.. I have 3 older sisters and the middle sister has just tested positive for Factor 5 Leiden. Now that is news that I believe everyone in the family should get tested no matter what their age is. I think this disorder is something as an individual you can control yourself if you stay to a certain diet and exercise and take your coumadin and hope for the best. I am up to 6 mg of coumadin a day and it seems to be ok. I am very glad to have gotten rid of my gout things are so much easier when you could walk and eat your normal diet. Work has been rough and exhausting but there is no better feeling than knowing I am still alive and breathing after the PE and the F5L. I owe alot to this website and members of this group it sure helps to know that your not the only one with struggles and issues you dont understand. I will try to keep up again with postings and comments I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy.

I passed her in front of her classroom the other day and didn't even look at her. I am...

Just had an interesting conversation with ChatGPT! It was kind of like talking kindly to myself. You should get the App. It's free.
Yeah, going back to work is exhausting, both mentally and physically but it slowly gets easier.
And you're right. There is no better feeling than the awareness that you're still alive. I'm almost 19 months post PE and I still have days where I really contemplate that.
Glad you're doing well!
