Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

My blood was at 22.9 seconds today and that's all i got. No INR number or anything as of yet. Can anyone calculate that? I'm worried it's low like it has been for the past two months. I've got some pain in my legs and i would like to be reassured that my INR is back up

Are you reading that result on line and are just waiting for your doc's office to call you with your INR result and whether you need to adjust your dosage? If so, just call your doc's office for the result.

i read it online but my doctor's office closes at noon on wednesdays so i have to wait until tomorrow.

Yeah probably not good to test on days when you know they'll be out. I never test on Friday's in the office chance I don't hear from them that same day.

My blood was at 23.4 seconds this week and my INR was 2.2. I bet you are in range.

I could be wrong but I think you need additional information other than the prothrombin time to calculate an INR. There's the patient's PT time but I thought, although I could be wrong, that also factored in is the mean prothrombin time by the lab. But again, not sure. I'd agree with twebster that you're probably not far off.

Yeah you do need more info as I found out on google

I was just going to say you could try googling it!

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
