Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this experience, and if so, if you've been given any explanations:
I recently stopped anticoagulants so that I can have bloodwork done for the final 3 genetic issues that would predispose me to clotting. Since being off birth control, my period has come pretty regularly--every 30-34 days. This month in particular, I have had a lot of bloating and cramping, but still no period. I am going on 40 days.
Now, before you say I'm pregnant, I want you to know that I've taken 2 pregnancy tests using my first morning urine on 2 different days, and both were very clearly negative. My husband and I have also been careful, so I highly doubt that would be the issue. I know stress can affect a woman's cycle, along "your body's been through a lot in the last few months", which is what my friends and family keep telling me.
I guess my main concern is...Can this be a sign of a clot? Has anyone had this happen to them when they went off anticoagulants? Has anyone been given a reason other than the ones I listed above?
Your input is apprectiated. Thanks!

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
Personally, if you don't get your period, I'd still get a pregnancy test through your doctor. But I would give it a bit more time, because you're technically not that late.
