Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I think most folks in the US know about the massive wildfires that have been raging across Colorado and other nearby states. Hundreds of homes have been lost at this point and the fires are still not under control. Happily, the weather has begun to shift and we are moving out of hot, dry 100-degree weather and into the 80s and 90s with afternoon storms and thundershowers.
There was an article in today's paper that caught my eye. A local therapist, who has lost his home to fire TWICE, wrote about what it is like to survive trauma. He speaks both specifically about making it through a fire but also very generally about surviving traumatic situations in general.
Some of his words are applicable to any trauma situation. I think those of us who have survived PEs (especially those of you with a recent diagnosis) may find some good advice here, especially near the end of the article.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
I'm glad the weather is starting to turn in your neck of the woods. Between Colorado and folks with no power out East, it makes these consecutive 100 degree days in Wisconsin seem like a day in the park.
