Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Ok really it isnt that funny, bc I ended up hurting myself over this situation but I figured Id share:
This morning I was very tired stumbled out of bed to put my contact lenses on, I got them in and they were a bit blurry so I decided to put some solution in my eye to clear them up.
Well - inbetween watching tv and being super sleepy i grabbed nail polish remover instead of solution and opened it up and poured it straight into my eye!!!! I still dont understand how i did this honestly.
I started screaming and ran to the bathroom and rinsed my eye for 15 min, it was tomato red and stinging. I called my dr and I was told that bc the nail polish remover was acetone free it probably didnt do anything, and as long as i could see ok and it wasnt swollen all was ok.
So even though it was really painful, i think you guys will get a laugh out of it, it happened at 7:30 am and its now 2:45 pm its still a bit red and a bit sore but no swelling or headache which what the drs assistant said to look out for. She said it would be red and sore for a while tho.
Ugh so no fabulous make up today, just glasses and a red left eye.
SOOOO is this coumadins fault???? or am I just that dumb?
Has anyone ever done something so retarded?
I figured this would be a humerous light hearted post at my expense and anyone else who wishes to share an embarassing story haha.
xoxo
oh and ps just another thing that proves to those of you who are a few months out and think that all youll ever think about is blood clots, soo not true bc at some point you will be thinking about why you poured nail polish remover in your eye hehe.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
Keep the nail polish remover away!!!
Ash, I'm so glad that no damage came out of this... I hope it stays that way also.

I had a car accident when I was 17 that thought me to be a cautious driver and had me showing up to prom with bruisces.
I had a pe at 21 to show me that I am incharge of asking my dr what a pill can do to me.

The thing that really pleases me is that you sound so much more cheerful and optimistic - long may it last1 Hugs from Sandi xx

Tennessee Williams, the playwright, died because he woke up in the middle of the night and reached for his eye drops. He put the cap in his mouth as he tilted the bottle over his face, and the cap fell into his throat and choked him to death. So be careful!
I have to tell you my husbands funny storey ...he got up one morning and brushed his teeth with Vagisil lol.He did not like the taste but his teeth stopped itching and burning ;-)
Seriuosly he is very dyslexic and doesnt read or do math well because of it so I really have to be carefull about what I leave laying around .
