Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

A thought-provoking, inspiring story I saw today about chronic illness and happiness.

This is great. I just shared this on the Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis group.

Totally love her! I'm seriously not this optimistic and proactive on my best days. Ha!

Same here. But it sure is something to aspire to.

Thanks for sharing this. I think it's important to remember that life is still good even when we have struggles. I do think that being born with an illness helps a person to have a somewhat different perspective because when it's all you know, well that's normality for you. Having a sudden loss of good health can be devastating, but what she says still applies, you can find happiness still when you are looking for it. I feel grateful that I had learned long before getting PE that happiness is much more about our attitude than our circumstances. And sure, we'll still have bad days, but our identity doesn't have to be wrapped up in the things which we can't control. No matter what, we can always control our own attitude and perspective, and it's nice to see this article about such a young lady who knows this and maintains joy rather than being a 'victim'.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
