Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Hello,
I am a normally healthy 37 year old woman who was diagnosed with several PE's in each lung in early Feb 2013.
It took almost a month & several trips to my dr's office & to the ER to find this problem. During this time, I was having a terrible feeling of not being able to breath, chest pain, headaches (felt like lack of air to the brain), very short of breath etc.. Although I could physically breathe in and out, it felt as if my body was not getting the air!... I felt as if I could pass out at any given moment for days at a time... My body truly felt in severe distress..
After the diagnosis, of course, fear & panic set in.. During my 9 day hospital stay I was in pretty bad shape. My faith & confidence in God really helped me stay sane through the process.. I am also blessed with a great family that has been so supportive & loving (but scared too). During these difficult weeks, I began to search for answers & any info I could get my hands on... During my search, I found this website --which has been a blessing!! This site has been a great resource for me. Reading the experiences, input and triumphs of others really has helped me through this process.
I wanted to take a moment to thank each of you for sharing your stories. Your experiences have truly helped me & I thank you :-) I hope that my contributions will help someone some day as well... The biggest things I have learned thru this process is to "Listen to your body! Be an advocate for your health! Be thankful for your loved ones & Thank God for his Mercy & Healing power!"
Wishing each of you the very best!!
Best regards!

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
Glad to hear that you are on the mend!!! :D
