Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Hi everyone,
Realized it is my 2 year anniversary today! I don't think often about my PE. Even though I never knew why it happened, I'm at ease about it. But still have decisions to make about blood thinners. I'm still on them, and will revisit with my hematologist what the plan will be for the next year. You remain in my thoughts and prayers!

Yay! I love hearing about these success stories! I'm approaching my first 're-birthday' myself and it's always encouraging to hear this so I can continually refocus on the long term!!!
