I went to the Endo yesterday for my options to start treatment. I was giving two options take Cabergoline and go through everyday vomiting, dizziness , etc. Or I can wait not do anything about my current prolactin levels or monthly period, until my husband and I start conceiving to take a stronger medication to help in the fertility department. I chose Cabergoline, seeing as I was thinking about my future health on never menstrating and possibly ending up with Osteoporosis. My endo did not tell me which choice was better he just kind of sat there while me and my husband went at it because he was not understanding. I felt like the Doctor really did not care, so hopefully everything turns out well. I was wondering if anyone can share the side affacets they have experienced while on this medication. Thanks :)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? I had a pituritary tumor (prolactinoma) for 17 years before it was diagnosed properly. During that 17 years, i suffered with massive headaches, which i put down to having sinus problems, and eye strain, as the pain was at the back of my eyes. Little did I know that the reason for this, was that the tumor was so large, it was pushing up against my optic nerves. My tumor measured 5cmX4cm. My Endo put me on Cabergoline, high dosage to start with to shrink the size, after about 6 months the size had dropped, and the headache become less frequent. I was told that if i didnt get it checked out i wold eventually become blind.
I have been on cabergoline now for over 8 years, and the tumor remains as an empty sac on the MRI's. I have had no side effects from the drug what so ever. But I guess everyone is different, your bodies are different, and medication can effect people in different ways.
To have a doctor that doesnt care, is not going to give you any kind of confidence at all. Have you thought about seeing someone else?
