How many vicodin's would you have to take in order to overdose?

You are probably going to ruin your liver on the tylenol thats in the vicodin before you OD on the vicodin..

One 5/500 vicodin has 500 miligrams of tylenol in it. The maximum dose of tylenol per day for an average adult is 4000 mg so that would be 8 pills. Anything over that will cause liver damage, and/or damage to another organ like the kidneys. I spent 3 days in the hospital with renal failure because I was taking 15 pills per day but they were 10/325 pills so that equals 4,875 mg of tylenol per day. 875 over the limit for safe consumption of tylenol per day.

I had to have 3 days of nothing but iv fluids to clean it all out of my system and eventually, my kidneys started working again but I nearly died from that!

Alot also depends on how high your tolerance to vicodin is. I started taking two 5 mg vicodin twice per day. After awhile, they would have no affect so I would keep increasing the dose. Over time, worked my way up to 50 mg 3 times per day.

Whoever you know who is on these, I hope and pray that they quit before they do bodily harm!

Thank you. I am only taking 5 or 6 5/500 pills a day right now. So reading what you wrote I am no where near overdosing, which I obviously don't want to do. Thanks.

it always worries me when people ask questions like that. i would look up the od on a drug and ride just this side of it 2c how much i could take. then i would take a little more and a little more, secretly hoping i wouldnt wake up the next day. i hope ur smarter than that.

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
