I have been taking suboxone for a few years now and it really works. However, I have been without it since Friday. Although I do recommend using suboxone, it is a bitch to come off. I didn't choose to withdraw from it; my insurance just won't pay for it anymore. I do advise using it because itt really does give you your life back....

Go to your pharmacy and ask for a weeks worth of medication or however many you can afford. Thats what I did. Most pharmacists are happy to help.

They were costing me about $5 per pill but that was 4 years ago. They may be higher now.

That doesn't make sense to me, did you talk to the owner or head pharmacist? It's a little extra paperwork for them but still, if you have been with them a long time, they should help you. But if not, ask your doctor to rewrite the prescription for as many as you can afford at a time.

Then call this number: 1-888-898-4818

It's the patient assistance program for the company that makes suboxone. You may be able to get it for free if your insurance won't pay.

I want to say thank you for the info but I finally can pick up my pills at the pharmacy today. The doctor called my insurance company. Now I can get the meds..... after most of the suffering is over.

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
