Methadone Addiction

I am hoping that there are those of you here that have had to live with and edure someone addicted to methadone. And I am not refering to buying it on the street. I am refering to a perscription for the medication that went terrible wrong. My husband passed away on the 27th of Feb this year. He had illnesses that were depleating his body. But he had been taking Methadone for nerve pain. And I believe the methadone changed him and controlled him. And I believe with everything I have that it cost him his life. So please if you care to have a conversation about your thoughts or want to listen to mine. Please post here or message me. I am so lost not knowing is he the only one this has happened to. Or are there many.

If he was self medicating on the methadone and not taking them as prescribed, it is very possible they could have taken his life. Methadone is similar to opiates and will indeed alter your personality to the extent that the drug becomes the most important thing in your life! You are happy when you are on it and miserable when you are not. Outside of that, not sure how else I can help you.

You have my deepest sympathy on your loss.

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
