Since I was seventeen, I have been taking anything with codeine in every day. It started off as little doses for actual pain, but then when I couldnt get any from the doctor anymore, I get it from the pharmacy and my doses keep getting higher and higher. Im scared to tell the doctor as he will say it's all my fault, and I'm also scared about what state my liver will be in if someone checks it out. Its startin to mess with my mental health now and I can't function without it, but I'm scared im starting to take lethal quantities of the stuff.
Once when I didnt have any pills with codeine, I Overdosed myself with tylenol (paracetamol)
This is starting to take over my life, or its already taken over, I Just haven't realized my problem until now

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

You can buy that stuff otc over there. Hope that never happens here!
Not sure what you are asking us but I hope you get help for your addiction before it end's your life like it nearly did mine.
Good Luck!
If are not extracting out the non-codeine portions, you could be in for a world of trouble. Acetomenaphen and ibuprophen will destroy your liver over the long haul. Fortunately, I get pure pills through the chemists there for drug maintainence therapy, so this is not a worry for me.
I suggest you just quit now. Codeine withdrawal will feel lousy. Stepping up will be even worse. Trust me.
If you are doing more than 5 of the former or 12 of the latter per day, you are putting an awful strain on your liver.
If you are doing amounts at or higher than above, and you opt to continue, you must do cold water extractions or risk injury (you can research this easily on youtube or elsewhere). Hepatic failure, not a nice way to go. Really bad.
If your daily amounts are less than above, stopping will hurt, but not too bad. You'll have a few days of nausea and pain, and a longer period of mental cravings, but you will come through it.
Only other option? Step up to the harder stuff, and you really do not want that. Once you go that route, you can never go back - the addiction will begin to run your life and the withdrawals will be a horror. Even if you do quit, you'll spend your days craving drugs and fighting back the temptation.
Quit now while you still can. Trust me on this.
but with the lower ones, I usually take about six in 4 hours.
Good thing im not awake for alot of the day
But I havrnt had any today, Im mentally telling myself it will all be ok, have work to distract me
Addiction is a horrific thing and I just hit my 2 months clean mark. I was addicted to pain pills, vicodin, percocet...anything I could take to get me high.
The first thing I want to say is that the doc will not look at this being "your fault" most docs want to get addicts off the medications! I am not sure if there are bad withdrawls with codien, but just know that the bad physical withdrawls only last 3 days for the most part.
By me taking so much medication and there being tylenol in it, I damaged my liver. My liver counts were high and I had a CT Scan and it showed damage. I have pain where my liver is, but it is healing itself. Have faith, pray and just know that it does get better!
