i might sound stupid here but i just have to question why people like me who would give anything to have a child are childless and people who don't want a child are so blessed only to give that child up for adoption or abort it- i know that if i was pregnant i'd do anything for my child to make sure he/she was healthy and i'd love that child and consider him/ her my gift from god.... not every woman is blessed in this way - and dang it - why can't i be blessed ? it just makes me so frustrated- took a pregnancy test at the beginning of this month and it came back invalid- which i know in my heart means negative and i just get so mad when someone says i really don't want my baby or some other stupid thing like that- how can they say that about a child that is growing inside of them and is apart of them.... this just baffles ones mind and i'm sorry ya'll i really needed to vent before i went off on someone- i'm so frustrated right now i could just scream ! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, we're here for ya whenever you need to vent.

So how long have you been trying to conceive? Don't get too frustrated...it takes everyone different amounts of time to get pregnant. Some get pregnant right away, for others it takes months.

well my now ex and i tried from may of 07 til dec and this time we aren't sure if it took or not and i'm just so frustrated ... not trying right now since we are over but still want a child someday just have a feeling it won't ever happen for me- and it happens for all these people who don't know what they want to do - God !!!! i could just kick them all in the butt for even mentioning abortion- it should be viewed as murder..... thats just my opinion people so no hate mail please cause i will just ignore it and move on...

You're allowed to voice your opinion here...we're all adults.

Trust me, when the time is right you'll have a baby. I know it's easy for me to say as I'm pregnant, but believe me, you will be blessed with a child someday. I'm sure you'll make a great mom!

I am so sorry you are struggling. I can't imagine your pain and I wonder this question often myself. I never really thought I was fertile never had a reason to think that other than the fact I just never got pregnant. I wasn't trying so it was a big deal and I unexpectantly became pregnant at age 24. Many couples it does take time not that that makes it easier. Now INVALID does not mean neg or pos so retest. When I thought I was pregnant this time around for some reason I got 3 invalids! But I just knew I was pregnant so I waited and retest and I was. So maybe wait a few days and retest. GOOD LUCK!!!

You really just voiced out everything I have been feeling and typing on this website. I know how hard it is. My friend, well should not call her that, is very irresponsible and has had two abortions. It pisses me off when I hear or see this and there are people like us who would do anything for one of our own. AHHhh... Well I am trying and staying hopeful but yes it is so annoying when people ask "so when you guys gonna have a baby?" They think that we don't want one but we so do. My plan now is to brush it off keep trying and trusting in God. Only He can help us and will. I am with you and here for you!

Hey I was you about 8 months ago. You have to wait for Gods plan to kick into play. Your life needs to run on his schedule and not what you think your schedule should be. I know that it is hard but, if I can wait and try for over two years you can do it to. Spend some time talking to God and ask for guidence. He will lead you to where you need to be at this time in your life. Trust me he is there for you. Trust in him.

Just to add another perspective: though 7 months seems like an eternity when you're trying, you're not considered to have a potential fertlity problem until after you've been actively trying for a year.

I also know it seems unfair that others get pregnant more quickly or have "unwanted" pregnancies. But, really, resenting other people or getting angry won't help anyone get pregnant faster. Take all that energy and channel it into preparing yourself and your life to have the best possible pregnancy and life with a child.

PS Try not to resent those who put their children up for adoption. As someone who has a number of loved ones who are adopted, I thank my lucky stars that there are people in this world who would give the gift of a child to those who cannot have biological children of their own.

Hey I am so sorry you are struggling, and I wish you all the luck in the world! Try not to resent people who seem to get pregnant without trying, it can be just as hard facing an un-planned pregnancy, it's just a different end of the spectrum. Pregnancy is an amazing thing but sometimes it's not in good circumstances and this is hard to come to terms with. That is why adoption is amazing! Some women just aren't ready for a baby, and it takes a strong woman to give her child up for adoption and is often a very selfless act!! Again I wish you luck and hope you soon become pregnant!

I second those who say try not to resent anyone who gave their child up for adoption and would like to say please don't resent anyone who has an abortion either. Everyone has a different story and while I sympathize with you, I hate to see generalized statements about people who do either of those two acts. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion but someone who did something that maybe they regret to this day and still cry over (if you didn't guess, I am talking about myself) will read that and be hurt by it. Just a suggestion and I wish you all the best :)

I totally understand. I have friends who aren't ready who get pregnant so easily. I am a therapist so I see the results everyday of people who weren't ready or don't want their kids and it pisses me off. Also I work with at risk high school kids and I swear almost everyone of them out of my 40 is either pregnant or has a child (counting the boys too). I just feel like, what the hell, these are babies having babies and that is all I want in life.

i think i might have worded my post wrong- lol - i do not in any way resent adoption- i too think it is a great thing - especially for those who cannot have their own children - and i'm all for it! however i do resent abortion-which to me is the same thing as throwing a baby in the trash and should be considered murder.... life is precious and all babies are gods gifts and should be viewed this way- sorry if i offended anyone or gave u the wrong idea- i only meant that it isn't right when someone says they don't want their baby- cause i think having the responsiblity and making the choice to give up baby to a loving family shows u want them- hope this clears things up- thanks for all the replies ya'll ! :)

Hello RocknMetal, I too have struggled to conceive a baby its taken me and my Dh over 8 years of trying and still trying... so what you need is to find a dr that will help you and find if you have any medical issues to prevent you from getting pregnant.. we're here for ya!!!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
