No words can take the pain away - only the passage of time, and hope that the future will bring you joy once again.
I lost my first pregnancy in September of last year and spent many months trying to do the "stiff upper lip" thing - madness lies that way.
There is a terrific m/c support group on Daily Strength - the women there have been a tremendous source of comfort and support. Sometimes there is such freedom in anonymity; I found myself voicing fears and frustrations that I couldn't bring myself to say outloud...but could type.
If it feels right, take a look. Sending hugs and healing thoughts.
I lost my first pregnancy last year in April. I had a D&C on April 6th, 2009 because my body wasn't letting go of the pregnancy. I spent last Easter and Mother's Day in a horrible depressed fog over the loss. To my surprise, I discovered I was pregnant again in early June. I delivered a healthy baby boy this February. I was holding him and crying yesterday with the realization that was the anniversary of the date that I lost my first angel. My tears were for the baby that I had lost - the one I still wonder about and who s/he would have been, but also the tears were because I was blessed to have a healthy baby that I was holding at the time and whom I love dearly... and I couldn't have him if I hadn't had the loss... if that makes any sense.
So yes, feel the pain of your loss and allow yourself to grieve. You will always wonder what may have been, but take heart that you are now Momma to an angel that will watch over you and the babies that you will be blessed with in the future.
Afterwards, I put my ovulation tests and calanders away and just put ttc on hold. Seven months later in June 09 we conceived and 3 weeks ago gave birth to a son. I know the feelings are so raw and it hurts so bad.
I think that's why I still go onto the miscarrage boards to this day. Please know that you are not alone in this, we are thinking of you and praying for you.
good luck to all with your pregnancies
love
Lina
