I have a couple of things to recommend to you. The first is, GRIEVE. Allow yourself to grieve this loss as you would that of any other loved one. People who have not been through this don't understand how much it hurts. Many will say things that seem insensitive or cruel. They don't mean to be, they just don't get it if it hasn't happened to them.
Another thing you will learn is that it has happened to a lot more people than you think. When I had my two M/Cs I found out that many people I know had been through it - but it was never talked about.
The other thing I would recommend is joining the Miscarriage group here on DS. They were a godsend - ladies who are or have been where you are, so they really understand.
I wish I could hug you and tell you it will be o.k. It will take time, and you will never forget this baby, but God brings peace and healing.
I'm praying for you and crying with you. I'm here if you need to talk, just send me a message.
Love to you and your family.
Bev
the loss of a child is always difficult, especially now when you were just being hopeful and excited for the future. My thoughts are with you!
One fantastic book I read about reproductive loss is aptly entitled: "Grieving Reproductive Loss", by Kathleen Gray, a fellow Montrealer. It covers all types of reproductive loss, including miscarriage, stillbirth, ADOPTION and ABORTION. Yes, the latter two are considered by this registered nurse and grievance counselor as losses, too.
You can get this book on Amazon. Good luck sweetie!
