I would like to name our new baby after my brother in law who passed away last year but I can't decide how.
If it's a boy I dont want to use Darren as his first name because he would have the EXACT first and last name as my BIL so I was thinking middle name... but traditionally we were supposed to use my fathers name as his middle name and my dad is expecting it. So i don't know. My husbadn doesn't want 2 middle names.
If it's a girl I think I have it figured out... Charlotte Robyn... (Rob= for my dad robert, yn= for darren) so thats easy but what should i do if it's a boy? Can i somehow combine their names to "make" a name again? I dont like robin for a boy. Or should i just choose one?!!!

Do you not like Robert for a first name? (or Bert, Rob)

Why not give him two middle names, and just pick a different first name you like? We named our Daughter Marlow Leona Loretta, Leona for his family, Loretta for mine. And Marlow was just a name we liked.

Ok I am pregnant so if this sounds crazy sorry. But I was thinking "ber" from Robert and "ren" from Darrren makes "Berren" or I actually liked "Baron" better because the letters for "rob" are in there. Good luck! :)

So many children today have multiple middle names. It is a wonderful way to honor everyone involved. Your husband has to understand that... GL!

Ha ha. We had several names that we wanted to use for our son and since he was the last (we thought) we used them all! His full name was Toby James William Patrick-Howard. It actually had a nice ring to it. :-)
