Is anyone here allergic to Sulfa that is currently taking Diamox? I have been diagnosed with IH now for almost 2 years. I am allergic to Sulfa drugs meaning that my throat will swell up so my Neurologist put me on Topamax. I am not sure how many times they tried. i know they have a beautiful little boy.. They had three what they called "maybe babies" left over that were (as strange as this sounds) about to expire. Two didnt take but the third did and they are expecting their second child. I know it is expensive, it cost 14k for the intial and first one and for the second one was only 5k.
That is all I know.
I got pregnant though iui. I found a lot of support on the infertility forum. I know that a lot of girls on that forum are going through ivf. If you post your question on that forum, I'm sure the girls their will have some good advice and support .
Good Luck!
I had three cycles of IUI without success so we went to IVF. They did one retreval and one round of IVF but nothing happened. So we went ahead and did a round of FET (frozen transfer) and my husband and I are now expecting twins. The shots you get used to and for the estrogen I went on pills and a patch so I didn't have as many shots for the FET cycle. I would def check with your insurance because some insurance companies do pay something for it. I have been extremely lucky because my husband is a teacher he gets good medical covereage. I wish you all the luck in the world. :)
