B6 Vitamin for nausea

Anyone take this in addition to your prenatal vitamins? I was told it helps nausea? But the book said daily recommendation only 2.2 milligrams...how could that be? Lowest I found was 50 mg...anybody know how much is safe to take?

I don't know how much but I've noticed a lot of discrepencies. My doc said not to take more than 4,000 IU of vitamin A but my prenatal vitamins have over 8,000 IU so I have just decided to take what I need to take. Unfortuanatly nothing helped my nausea...not even the prescriptions they gave me so I've just gotten used to it. How far along are you?

I suffered and are still getting nausea -all day. I was recommended a morning sickness formula. It has 25mg of Vit B6 and 400mg ginger. I found that these made me feel worse however. My neighbour took the same tablets and found they didn't help either. I was told it would be better just to take a general pregnancy vitamin without Vit A in it.

I was told not to take any other additional vitamins, except for my prenatals of course. But I think you should ask your doctor.
I know how you are feeling with the nausea. I am almost 9 weeks and still have nausea everyday, almost all day. I hope you find what works for you. Good luck.xx

I was told to take 25mg 2x daily or 10mg 3x daily. I took the 10mg and it kept me from throwing up but did not help with the nausea. My miracle morning sickness cure is lemon drops. I have no idea why but they worked miracles for me.

I took B6 early in pregnancy with my dr's OK. He told me how much was safe, but my pregnant brain has already forgotten. You can try googling "Safe upper limits of vitamin B6". I think maybe it helped me a little with this pregnancy (it didn't with my first or second) - hope it helps you!

I took b6 that was prescribed from my doctor for morning sickness..It helped ease the nausea but it made me have heart palpitaitons and i was out of breathe all the time..So I had to go off of it and just take flintstone vitamins

I had terrible morning sickness until week 13...I couldn't eat...move...just awful. My doctor perscried a medication called DICLECTIN...it's a completely safe morning sickness pill and part of it's make up is vitiman B6...it even has a little outline of a pregnant mommy on the pill, so no mix ups :)

I should add that it worked well for me, but it takes a few days to kick in and maintain...no instant relief...for me it was pescribed 2 nightly...but inmost cases it's 1...3 times a day...

    Is anyone here allergic to Sulfa that is currently taking Diamox? I have been diagnosed with IH now for almost 2 years. I am allergic to Sulfa drugs meaning that my throat will swell up so my Neurologist put me on Topamax. I was suffering from major loud whoosing noises and the topamax helped that but everyday I still hear those mainly between 6 - 12 pm. I am at my wits end and have not went...

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
