Hi All!
I am new to the site and this is my first post. So here is our story and my question......
Last summer we noticed dark hair under my daughters arm and a small amount of pubic hair. We immediately made an appointment with her pediatrician the following day. She in turn referred us to a ped endo in our local area. Not thinking to much of it at the time, but she had hit a growth spurt prior as well and had some noticeable body odor that we had purchased deodorant for her. In hindsight the clues were right in front of us and I beat myself up daily! To say the least we had a horrible experience with the endo! In the end she diagnosed our sweet girl with premature adrenarch w/advanced bone age. I researched that diagnosis and just never had peace of mind with it. I always felt as there was more to it and not just hair growth. So I went on a mission to find another ped endo. There was only one more in our area and he would not see our little one since she had seen another MD in the group. So we chose to look outside of our area, which ended up being out of state.
Last month she was officially diagnosed w/PP w/advanced bone age. She is 6 yrs 8 months old w/a bone age of 8 yrs 9 months. She is 4' 2" and 72 pounds.
She is scheduled for a stim test tomorrow and the MD has mentioned Cortisol as a possible treatment option, depending on the outcome of the stim test. My question is this.....does anyone have any information to offer or prior experience with Cortisol being the treatment for their little one?
I appreciate any insight anyone can offer.

I have never heard of using cortisol only Lupron and Supprellin. I've not read anything about in my research. Are you in the US?

Is anyone here allergic to Sulfa that is currently taking Diamox? I have been diagnosed with IH now for almost 2 years. I am allergic to Sulfa drugs meaning that my throat will swell up so my Neurologist put me on Topamax. I was suffering from major loud whoosing noises and the topamax helped that but everyday I still hear those mainly between 6 - 12 pm. I am at my wits end and have not went...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
