It has been a rough holiday season. Parents on three of my cases were murdered and a fourth parent committed suicide.  I’ve also been waiting for the results of a medical ethics committee to determine if I’m going to need to file a request to remove an infant from life sustaining equipment. The baby has extreme brain injuries from abuse. I’ve been trying to find a new therapist since I haven’t had one since December of 2016. I’ve been feeling very trapped at work which causes increased depression. As always my resolution for the new tear is to find another job. 


Maybe I’ll post again in another few months. Take care all.

Wow, that must be quite traumatic for you! I hope you find some peace (and a therapist) with all of that. I can only wish you luck and send you strength to help you find your own path through that!

Hello again, Atec. I wonder about you often when I witness our woefully over-worked, under-appreciated family welfare heroes. My 3 grandchildren (5, 3 and newborn) are currently in protective custody shared between their two sets of grandparents. The CPS investigation has been in motion since October and. . . Ouchies and confusions for all. No murders yet. Prayers in progress on that score.

Special prayers for the over-worked investigators doing the best they can with what they have to work with. You, included, for long after you find that new job. It is allot to recover from. Continued support, whichever way it flows for you.

Sorry to hear all that happened at once, that is a lot to deal with. Hope you do find a kind intuitive lovely therapist. They are out there!!

The thing about the helping fields...is that, by definition, the people you are going to see are the ones in bad situations. The happy parents taking their kids to the park...aren't going to come across your desk.
