When I let the truth come out

black_soul
A few months ago my life was my definition of normal. But my depression got the best of me. And when I reached out for help I messed up. I let the truth of my molesting come out. And now my life is in ruins. My family is torn apart and I want to die more than ever

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

Are you getting therapy or counseling?
it is good that brought yourself here to a place of support for you. gentle hugs
The molester is the person who was completely wrong in this ....completely..... I'm glad that you're here and also that you're in therapy..... This is not your fault.... You've been the victim..... Another gentle hug and a blessing.....xo
I tried doing that just to let all my family's problems be resolved in me. Though I was willing to be the family sacrificial lamb, it just doesn't work that way. Not even when we volunteer.
Then working in therapy on it I found out that my family's problems in the area of boundaries go back all the way to the 1860s and the Civil War I kid you not.
This may not have any relevance to you. On the other hand, it might really resonate with you, either now or farther down the line. Much support to you.
it is good you have brought light to this - it is, you needed to do this for yourself - 100% truth. i understand it will take work and support for you to get through this. sometimes it will feel difficult - you can get through difficult - you've done that already. you lived through the abuse. i'm so sorry. i empathise with you. i relate to your pain.
but you didn't do a wrong thing to others here - it needed to be brought to light. it is an ugly and sick and poisonous thing, that most often doesn't have that chance to be completed in this way.
light brings with it an opportunity for healing, at least to wash clean the wounds. what they choose to do with themselves is not up to you. they are supposed to be adults. they were adults before you were born. it is not your job to figure out what they need to do.
you gave them an amazing opportunity - you did this.
you choose what you do with you. you help you now, k? and we are here : ) this is a good choice you made for yourself already, bringing yourself here.
a suggestion?
call the victims assistance phone number on the www.rainn.org website and see what help is available for you. i know there is free counseling with trauma trained counselors./therapists near you.
