Just wondering.. what do you do when you need to relax?
I use Plant Life's natural essential oil in the scent "Calm". I put a few drops out in my dorm and take a few deep breaths.
Sometimes I clean. If my room is a mess, my life is probably a mess too.
A lot of the time I need something sensory so I wear a blanket cape if I'm wandering around campus. I can "hold myself" with it. If my anxiety gets bad, I just pull it tighter around myself. Also, hot showers and sometimes cold ones, depending on what I need right then.
So what do you do?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
My general gee would be, "Balance." Whatever has me stressed out, I seek to balance it. If I am too busy, I might go for some of that "Calm" scent you put around your dorm room. Maybe a hot bath and candle light. Mostly stuff that will slow me down a bit.
If I am stressed by depressing realities and anxious, exercise and energy herbs would be more the balancing direction to take. A road trip or a bus ride can gently pull me out of a depressing rut.
Then there are all the shades in between...
My garden and musical instruments fit all of them. The supplements will depend on what needs to be balanced.
music suited to the dominate mood i am in so that i can sing and dance along
