What Does a "Stranger" Look Like

When my kids were little and a picture of someone that had hurt a child showed up in the newspaper, I used to show the smiling picture to my kids to show them what a "stranger" looked like.
Sometimes I hate this world.

I don't know why we don't allow people to gravitate towards those who they get along with at a younger age

It's tough, but... in a way I think Stranger Danger conned some kid sinto staying with family who hurt them, b/c they were trained to think *strangers* were scarier. Nope. Not always.
Until they prove otherwise and even then pray for independence as long as possible
