Validating Anger 4 - Feathering

arfie
I am believing that my anger is far enough validated to take the next bite. Anger is harsh and uncompromising by nature. This morning I take my metaphorical waxings from graphic arts. Anger draws thick, heavy lines which move the eye in choppy movements across impenetrable divisions. In the living art of my life, it creates thorny, unmovable walls instead of flowing boundaries that can flex with growth and mix freely with other elements of life.
In my real life, my own graphic arts are also called, "Drafting." Clear lines that accurately convey information are my natural talent. In the more aesthetic arts, "Feathering" is the blending of edges so that the image blends into a more natural image. In aeronautical engineering, "Feathering" is a piloting technique which factors in winds and turbulence to bring the aircraft to desired destinations, such as a safe landing. In the video gaming world, it is bumping the joystick repeatedly to achieve greater control over the game images.
I sit now, typing on the rickety TV tray I use to hold my monitor and keyboard on field expeditions in the corner of the FIL's party house where I have consolidated the stuff hubby and I will soon carry back to Austin. The details between my beloved and his father remain obscure, but my business in this evolution is up-to-date. Awaiting orders.
Thinking I will devote the wait time to the study of "Feathering."
Small bites and long chews. Reality checks welcome.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
"One step at a time in the fullness of time
Our tears will draw the outlines
Hopes will color the shades of blue
When we feel the sun coming through."
Maybe we should change "color" to "feather?" At least for today?
I show anger, or anything, through art much better when I'm not having a bad day ironically.
Art is a wonderful way to validate your anger effectively. I often dance while singing angry songs and playing my guitar when I need to focus my anger.
Alas, repressing my anger only turns me into a time bomb with a defective timer.
That said, when I play with clay in anger? I come up with some verrrrry weird gargoyle-things. Hubby is using some for Halloween decorations this eyar. And, of course, it's cheap air-dry Crayola clay so if I get angry, I can break what I made the *last* time I felt that angry....
