I want to thank everybody who supported me on my Ruh roh thread here when I came down with the flu in the days before New Year's Eve. On New Year's Eve itself at 3 in the afternoon I woke up to find my fever had broken. I was able to go to the New Year's Eve party that night, and now I'm able to go on the vacation I'd planned for myself last August. It's a trip to Mexico, and it's for fun but it's also to see if it's where I want to retire in 3 years. Knock on wood--I almost had to stop working a few years ago when I had my last big PTSD health crisis, so I'm grateful I can even think about working all the way to retirement.
Thanks for your prayers and wishes for me to get better, because I sure did! I'll try to log on every day from Mexico, but if I don't just figure I'm having fun and just can't get Wifi at the moment. I'll be back on the 10th, so hasta la vista, amigos!

Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...
