Background: My estranged brother and estranged mother died within weeks of each other. Under therapy counsel, I have been formalizing my grief as best I can in the absence of traditional ritual and functional bonds. We have been estranged since 1977, but. . . Blood is thicker than water? Family bonds werenae designed to be broken. I have been avoiding open forum because of the way my language circuits scramble unmercifully when I am in crisis. It is hard for me to know when I am spouting profound gibberish. I have been sorting this snotty, knotty mess in my journal and with the most trusted of my peer supporters.
I am currently in SE Kentucky on the non-google-ways from Texas to Delaware. Good thing I don't have my camp gear. I have passed quite allot of swamps, mountainsides and valleys tempting me to abandon the human species once more. *Just* park the pickup truck I have been calling, "Boy Toy" and wander with my dog until my old bones give out. . . As it is, I have managed to keep Boy Toy's wheels spinning and his grill pointed in a North Easterly direction. At my current rate of travel, I should reach the clan center (exposure therapy?) the day after tomorrow. I am giving thought to joining the motor packs on the google-ways for a faster arrival time. Decision pending.
My language circuits seem to be descrambling enough that I am braving this post here in open forum. Asking forgiveness if I am still spouting big-word-multi-lingual-nonsense.
Just an update and appreciation for the support. The Arf be arfin' like a wounded puppy. . . Plying therapy tools. My unlicensed support dog is resting quietly this morning. I am grateful my Persilly is riding shotgun in this journey. What a gift she is! Woofin'.
Prayers (by whatever name) needed and appreciated.

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Spout whatever words you can form. I am not the most coherent English speaker myself when in stress/distress.
Wish words could help. As they can't, know that the intent to stand where you need me to stand is present.

BL: My woofer doesn't shake windows at stop lights. Is that a good or bad thing? Rap fans seem to think that is a bad thing. . .
Honest Apple, I am really packing now. . .
What IS this next generation coming too...
Being estranged on top of it shows great strength and character about you. I know there's a destination in sight but I do hope you continue to stop and smell the roses and understand that as hard as it is...the flooding memories, questioning yourself, challenging yourself and ultimately learning more about yourself...this journey is crucial and you have an opportunity to do it right.
Safe travels. Big hugs. My condolences, whatever level you need to receive them.
& a Big hug
