One of the pieces of on my own Family-Dysfunction-Go-Round which irritates me mightily is questions which will never be answered. My own family's tradition of estrangement makes this an emotional cactus patch for me.
I am beginning to think this might be the root of my passion for trivia. My passion for trivia just might be my instinctive way of channeling the frustration of all those questions I am not allowed to ask, much less expect answers for.
Anybody have any good coping tools for the frustration of those unavailable answers?

I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...

I have used the Serenity Prayer in every single one of my language studies. Hm-m-m-m-m. . . The most recent evolution in the house projects was moving my studio to a new location. It's new location is mostly untested.
Might be a good day to take an inventory of just how many language versions of "The Serenity Prayer" I have collected.
Thank you, SC.
To me the very essence of PTSD is that conflict. It is being stuck in the past because we cannot find the answers to the questions and our minds cannot complete the process without an answer to the question why? It loops back over things hoping to find the missing link that will answer the questions we have. When it cannot it looks harder and harder and spends more time on it. Then it stares to blame us because there is nothing to explain it, so we must have done something, so it loops and loops and loops until it exhausts use, wears us down, steals our lives and leaves us a shell of who we are. The trauma is real, but those unanswered questions live on.
I like suncloud's comments, the serentity prayer. It is not just for those how are alcoholics.
