Well I am trying to rewrite a resume. I have one written. Then I went to a class on how to write a resume and now I see I need to rewrite it.
I have been trying for a few weeks.
Pretty much I can't do much of anything. The PTSD is eating me up.
Today I sat down to work on the resume.
Got the computer going. Started to read some samples and stuff on how to format the resume.
Then the nausia started. Then pain in my arms and legs.
I took half a Xanex witch usually calms me down.
But that did not work. The pain in my head started.
Then I could not do anything. Complete misery. I crawled into bed and tried to nap. nope just a flood of thought ever increasing my anxiety.
Dang this whole thing is messed up.
I can't even write a resume with out a panic attack.
I have eaten 2 pieces of toast all day and my stomach feels stuffed full. and of course the intestinal problems and running to the restroom.
Maybe tomorrow I can get this stupid resume together.
My mind wonders now if I do happen to get a resume together and I happen to get a job. What then? I will stress out and I will have panic attacks and I know I will have fear of death upon me again.
Growing up in fear for your life really messes with your head.
Thanks Daddy.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
I agree, your effort to move forward is an indication of your strength, but don't bully yourself into something you are not yet ready for.
Baby steps.
They all make us examine our lives. A couple of them give others the opportunity to examine our lives for us.
For many people, and for many reasons, it can be a bit of a dehumanizing process.
Take it slow. Take lots of deep breaths. Try to make small progress, rather than just "bang it out."
I wish you luck, peace, health, and strength !
I decided that part time or $10-12 hour work I will not even try.
I used to make 6 figures and I am not going to work for pitance. The last job was like $10 an hour. fuck that. no one can live on that an pay bill or have a life.
I would rather not be here than live as a slave again.
Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate them.
If your desire is to dive back in then out source this task. But you are the one who rhetorically asked about being able to handle full on employment.....
Everything-Nothing/Black-White thinking is not conducive to comprehensive problem solving. And pardon my noticing but you are the one who juxtaposed 6 figure income w/ alternate option of not living at all, ...well, you get the picture.
Please understand, I am not trying to give an unempathetic response, but perhaps reread your initial post and your follow up comment.
Enough said by me.
The best to you.
As letitbe pointed out, they are not real expensive and they are up to speed on all the latest trends.
I was given a little bag of lavender - the real kind not chemicals and the weave of the small drawstring sack is just solid enough to keep the stems from poking out but loose enough for it to shake well and the aroma to come through it unhampered. You can carry it with you in your pocket and then when the anxiety starts to rise, just take a few whiffs and close your eyes. Really helps because the lavender smell is calming but also strong so you are forced to pay attention to it.
