it’s funny how things affect me. Instagram suddenly recommended the profile of a man who assaulted me back in high school. Last night, I had a nightmare for the first time in a while. My daughter was taken to prison from a field trip and I couldn’t get her out. I woke up and realized she’s actually fine.


i am using melatonin gummies to cut my dependence on Excedrin PM and Klonopin and it’s working, but I can’t imagine living without sleep aids and Klonopin. It’s really helped curb the nightmares, but hasn’t stopped them entirely.

Well. . . I'm still working to find the humor in my own version, but that is a pattern with me, as well. I hold my nightmares as a not-so-clear indicator of repressed memories and/or emotions bubbling their way to the surface.

Nightmares suck. Both literally and figuratively. Sending hopes for a restorative sleep tonight. Hope healing happens here.

I don't have much experience with dreams or nightmares but I have run into people from my past I didn't want to and it fucking sucks to have that shit brought back up. Lots of love and gentle support your way, you beautiful human.

Melatonin really worked for me, too, dsf95, and then when my pdoc prescribed me Prazosin for nightmare that was the silver bullet. I used to have them all the time, but for 2 years with Prazosin I haven't had a single one. I also stay off of all social media, too--Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, all of it--and that really helps with peace of mind. Much support to you, hoping you can have sweet dreams instead of nightmares.
