Thought the bad dreams were over

All ican remember is all these hands grabbing me and through me into an abyss.I hadnt had these dreams for at least two months and hoped they were gone.I dont usually dream at all for the last twenty years.I get so tramatized and scared when the dreams happen that i make my self not go back to sleep as long as possible hoping they dont come back.It makes me feel like a little boy who has no one to run to.

Thanks for the support mideyebrow-After i took my shower this morning i remember the hands throwing me onto a big sheet of black stretched vinyl with a stikim like mouse trap that i could not move from.Thats when i woke up yelling for help.Friday ill be seeing my new therapist.Your support and others i know will be sertainly stay strong in my mind and i will try to tell my self to be calm and non combative befor i fall asleep.Right now i still feel afraid of evereything and whant to stay hidden and go no where but my dogs are my children that make me get going outside and moving thank god.

Your dreams sound very frightening. I'm so sorry you have to go through that. Sleep is something we can't avoid and yet it comes with nightmares that stay painful through the waking hours. I've heard from others on the board that there are meds that can help with recurring nightmares. In three days you get an advocate in the form of a therapist. It's also so nice that you have lovely dogs in your life. They always seem to love and be accepting even on our worse days. Try to love yourself all you can just like your dogs do. I hope you can find relief. Peace.
