I know I've been away for a little while. New Years is tough for me and I get pretty withdrawn around it. It's when I had some pretty terrible stuff happen, it's my toughest anniversary. There was being drugged and raped, alcohol poisoning to the brink of death, getting hit, being abandoned by friends I trusted, and losing someone very important to me, all in one night.
It's also hubby's birthday, so extra difficult with that.
Feeling very lonely. Hubby went with friends all day, came back with a sudden cold so went straight to bed about 6 pm. So I made supper for the baby and I, but his bedtime is 8 pm. Parents out of state. Friends live over an hour away. So rang in the New Year by myself.
Sad to be by myself, doubly so on New Years, and even more so on the anniversary. I cry a lot. I think if it weren't for the baby I'd be just, done.
Is there anyone out there?

It happens to a large percentage of people with ADHD, which I have. Actually, I have been watching videos about ADD/ADHD lately. I remember my Mom telling me that she watched a show on ADD and she...

Hello- I am new to the group
Jewells
I treat my PTSD anniversaries like a case of the flu. ESPECIALLY the anniversaries that coincide with the social pressure days when the whole world seems inclined to justinate my participation. I give myself gentle self-care and awareness, treating the symptoms as they present. Eat well, lots of fluids and lots of rest, and watch for well-meaning party animals eager to wiggle dirty fingers in open wounds.
I can understand your lonelines. Hope you have a better one. Youre never alone with DS PTSD at hand.
