Awareness, Acceptance and Action
From today's reading in "Courage to Change"
"Coping with a new awareness can be extremely awkward, and most of us are eager to spare ourselves pain or discomfort. Yet, until we accept the reality with which we have been faced, we probably won't be capable of taking effective action with confidence."
In my own boiling cauldron of confusion, my new awareness are:
1) My alcoholic sister's recent graduation to a new level of disability. She is still in the hospital and the new levels of disability are still being evaluated. For sure her kidneys are completely shot. The rest is still being tested and probed.
2) My father-in-law is considering an offer to sell the investment property on which our hives are located. We are awaiting the memo on whether or not the bees need to be relocated.
The threats of suicide from the 34 year old son are nothing new. It remains with the action of recognizing I am powerless over this grown man's actions or lack of action. Ditto for the financing of both grown sons. We continue to evaluate each financing request with prayerful thought, one request at a time.
Just sharing.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
